As Christians we are commanded to pray for our leaders and we should. Ultimately, God is on the throne and not likely to be leaving it any time soon. I get worried and concerned sometimes, but I just don't stay that way. I make a choice to trust God and not the government, but coninue to pray for my leaders. This is our country, and we have every reason to be proud of her many accomplishments. All countries have histories and not one is without a mistake made or an injustice done someone along the way of their developments, so I see no reason not to be as proud to be an American as someone who is proud to be Canadian, French, or Irish, to mention a few). It used to bug me, because right around when I began high school, my school had begun to speak of our history in a manner that made me ashamed of it before I even understood what kind of government we even had!

Aye, we need to let God further His plan and count on Him for everything to turn out right. I'm always proud to be an American (in fact, I got shot down in another forum for saying America was the best country around). I don't like the way things are going, but I'll be patient...until 2012.

lol 2012 indeed, I think that the government will always be a bit twisted, if for no other reason than to preserve the rights that the Constitution grants and guarantees the citizens of the country. I know that many of the decisions that are being made are by my personal definitions wrong, as are a great many decisions that are made by other individuals. but For all that I believe to be and know, to be right. there is also the other side of that same coin, I can believe that which I choose to, but so can everybody else. I don't support a great many things that are now being done and decided on by both our citizens and our government, but fortunately or unfortunately, whichever the case, they have as much a right to do so as I do. oi I'm starting to sound like a liberal.....

Liberals seem to forget that which our nation was founded. Total freedom is anarchy. With more freedom comes less safety; and the inverse is true: with more safety comes less freedom.

Indeed, it seems to me that the more liberal peoples in the country are the ones that stand against the wars and government that help preserve their right to be liberals... but such is the nature of politics, it can't just be simple.
